“With the global increase in chronic conditions such as diabetes and the related chronic wounds, peer educational exchanges focusing on current trends have become a timely component of wound management,” said Shaden Marzouk, M.D., MBA, senior vice president of Clinical Operations at Cardinal Health. “Our hope with these intimate learning groups is to promote the kind of meaningful dialogue that will help improve wound healing from the hospital to the home.”
Attendees can also learn more about a grant opportunity from the Wound Healing Society Foundation (WHSF) and Cardinal Health. The new, one-time grant for 2015, the WHSF Wound Care Economics Research Grant, is a $15,000 research grant that will go to a successful applicant to evaluate and review the current health economics in wound care.
