Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions Highlights Practice Technologies, Rheumatology Thought Leadership at ACR Annual Meeting
11/08/2012

Dublin, OHIO – Nov. 8, 2012 – At the American College of Rheumatology’s (ACR) Annual Meeting, taking place Nov. 11-13 in Washington, D.C., Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions will highlight its innovative practice management technologies and its commitment to industry thought leadership.

“Attracting more than 12,000 attendees each year, the ACR Annual Meeting provides an excellent venue to connect directly with rheumatologists and practice managers,” said Roshan Girglani, vice president and general manager of Rheumatology for Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions. “We’re looking forward to helping attendees better understand the many ways we can alleviate the administrative burdens they face, empower them improve efficiency and help them implement new innovations that can transform the way they care for patients.”

Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions will highlight the following at the 2012 ACR Annual Meeting:

  • Innovative technology solutions, including enhancements to InfusaTrackTM Infusion Room Management Software. This tool was designed to make it easier for community rheumatology practices to offer patients in-office infusion services, by tracking inventories of infused medications, simplifying patient scheduling and streamlining the billing process associated with infusion.

Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions has actively sought user feedback since launching the tool in November of 2011, and is now introducing new functionality to address evolving practice needs. New features include the ability to view a patient’s treatment history and upcoming appointments, as well as the ability to schedule future treatments. InfusaTrack also now enables users to order, manage and dispense inventory by vial size and makes it easier to track benefits verification and authorization. To help ensure accurate dosing and billing, the tool also now automatically calculates billing units for dispensed medications.

  • Rheumatology thought leadership, including its “Perspective in Patient Management” educational summits, which are focused on obtaining insights from national practice leaders to educate community-based rheumatologists and practice managers about best practices that can drive practice efficiencies and improve patient care. Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions has hosted four of these invitation-only summits in 2012 and plans to host four more in 2013.
